Hi, I’m Natasha, a UK mum of two from Salford and the writer behind The Mama Perspective.
I started this blog because motherhood has been one of the most rewarding, challenging, emotional, and transformative experiences of my life. Like many mums, I’ve navigated the highs and lows of postpartum recovery, sleepless nights, returning to work, managing family life, prioritising my mental wellbeing, and trying to hold onto my sense of self alongside motherhood.

What began as a place to share my experiences has grown into a space where I share honest reflections on motherhood, maternal wellness, mental health, self-care, family life, and personal growth.
My hope is that when you visit The Mama Perspective, you’ll find encouragement, insights, and most importantly, reassurance that you’re not alone in the challenges and joys of raising a family.
Why I Write About Motherhood and Maternal Wellness
Motherhood changed every aspect of my life. It influenced my mental wellbeing, confidence, identity, relationships, career, and daily routines in ways I never anticipated. While becoming a mother brought lots of joy, it also brought moments of overwhelm, self-doubt, stress, and the ongoing challenge of balancing my own needs with those of my family.
Through The Mama Perspective, I share the realities of modern motherhood through my own lived experience. I believe honest conversations about maternal mental health, postpartum recovery, self-care, stress management, and personal growth help mothers feel more supported and understood.
My goal isn’t to present a picture-perfect version of motherhood. Instead, I want to create a space where mums can find relatable stories for whatever stage of motherhood they’re navigating.
